2019 WINTER ART AND CRAFTS EXPO
The Evanston Art Center’s Winter Arts & Crafts Expo is one of the largest and most celebrated craft shows in the Chicago area. The 16th annual Expo features original arts and crafts by over 140 selected artisans, featuring works of jewelry, ceramics, fiber, metal, glass, painting, photography, mixed-media, and more.

LIGHTSCAPE AT CHICAGO BOTANIC GARDEN
wander into a festive world of wonder and light. Along a mile-long path, the night comes alive with color, imagination, and sound, from a playful choir of singing trees to a spectacular waterfall of light. At times, you’ll find yourself in the center of it all — stepping inside a cathedral of golden light, walking down an avenue of luminous linden trees, moving through colorful ribbons of light. Lightscape is making its US debut at Chicago Botanic Garden. More than one million people in 2018 viewed this show across the United Kingdom.

Explore the flora and fauna and celebrate the winter solstice season with a peaceful, 40-minute, free, guided walk in the McDonald Woods. Warm up by a roaring fire afterward. Dress for the weather. If there is deep snow, we will walk on paths and areas adjacent to the McDonald Woods.
