Nature & the North Shore
Begin Day 1 with a workshop at Skokie's Chalet Nursery, after enjoying a hot breakfast at your hotel. Afterward, get more in touch with nature at the
Emily Oaks Nature Center. In the evening, enjoy dinner in one of our fabulous group-friendly restaurants, and then a performance at the North Shore
Center for Performing Arts.
Day 2 begins with a fabulous breakfast, and then a visit to the beautiful Chicago Botanic Garden in Glencoe. Afterwards, spending a fun and exciting
afternoon at Westfield Old Orchard shopping mall.
Museums and more!
Start your day with a hot breakfast at your hotel, followed by a visit to the Mary & Leigh Block Museum of Art, where your group can experience a
number of exhibitions of visual art and view a classic or contemporary film at the Block Cinema. After a casual lunch at one of Evanston's exciting
eateries, right near the campus of Northwestern University, you can head to the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian to view a number of exhibits
featuring the diverse cultures and traditions of the Native Americans. Dinner will be served in one of Evanston's many popular restaurants.
Day 2 begins with a breakfast buffet in Evanston, followed by a visit to the Charles Gates Dawes House, home of former United States Vice
President, World War I Brigadier General, and Nobel Laureate Charles Gates Dawes. Each room of the house has its own "treasure bag" of objects
that the family might have left behind from the 1920s. Can you guess what each object is? A fascinating way to explore what artifacts can tell
us about the past! After a relaxing lunch, head to the Skokie North Shore Sculpture Park to explore this vast complex of contemporary artwork.
End the day with a visit to Westfield Old Orchard shopping mall.
Culture & History
Begin your day with a leisurely hot breakfast at your fabulous North Shore hotel, followed by a visit to the Mitchell Museum of the American Indian and see permanent exhibits dedicated to the Native cultures of the Woodlands, Plains, Southwest, Northwest Coast and Arctic regions of
North America. Afterwards, enjoy lunch at one of our finest Evanston "hot-spots." Then visit the Illinois Holocaust Museum, where you can step
back in time to pre-war Europe and see how the Jewish community lived before persecution, learn about the Holocaust experience, and possibly hear
from an actual survivor. Finally, experience the grandeur of the Bahai House of Worship in Wilmette, an architectural marvel.
To end your day, enjoy dinner and the shops at Westfield Old Orchard shopping mall.
